Located one hour North of San Francisco — and just one block from the historic Sonoma Plaza — The Depot is an iconic and storied wine-country restaurant loved by locals and visitors alike. Known for its charming decor, enchanting garden, reflecting pool, and terraces, The Depot is the ideal centerpiece from which to build a beautiful and memorable event.

Because The Depot Restaurant is a full-service, elevated dining establishment, hosting an event on our property means that we can provide an all-inclusive venue that requires very few outside rentals. As such, the following service and decor elements are integrated into our baseline packages:

Total Buy-Out / Five Hour Event

Some parties call for a total buy-out of The Depot when headcount or privacy needs dictate. We’ve created set venue pricing for a Total Buy-Out. Please note that all events held at the Depot are ADULT GUESTS only events and we do not cater to children’s parties or events.

Partial Buy-Out / Five Hour Event

For clients who are interested in hosting events that don’t require a total buy-out, we have a fee structure based on the day of the week and guest count. Please note that these prices cover space usage for an event lasting up to five hours in length.

All of our dishes are prepared in our own kitchen by our team of chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Unique seasonal dishes are an important part of our culinary brand and will be made available to our clients during the booking process.

As a historic wine country venue, it’s understood that Depot’s wine packages need to be outstanding. So we’ve put together a three-tiered collection of beverage options to meet our client’s varied needs, while still offering up notably delicious wines and libations at every level.

  • A standard $1,000.00 reservation security deposit is required and due with the signed contract to guarantee the event date. This non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to guarantee the event date and can be paid prior to the Venue/Food & Beverage Deposit. The Venue/Food & Beverage Deposit is required to guarantee access to the contracted venue spaces on the date of the event and to lock in event services, menu selection, beverage contracts, and all estimated pricing. This deposit is 50% of the estimated food and beverage minimum costs as defined in the signed contract and is due 60 days prior to the event.

  • Three weeks (21 days) prior to the scheduled event, an invoice outlining the final real food and beverage costs will be issued to the Contracted Client, and the estimated totals will be adjusted to reflect the final amount due. The final guest count is due at 21 days prior to the event. The final payment for the event is due two weeks (14 days) prior to the event with no exceptions. Failure to pay this final payment on time may result in the forced cancellation of your event and withholding of the food and beverage deposit.

  • Yes. All DJs or live musicians contracted for the event must be approved by The Depot when the Venue/Food & Beverage Deposit is paid, or 60 days prior to the event (if the deposit is paid earlier). All amplified music must be kept at the required decibel level as managed by the City and County of Sonoma. The Depot Restaurant reserves the right to require entertainers to lower the amplification of their music at any time. No amplified mics are permitted after 10:00 PM on Fridays or Saturdays, or after 9:00 PM on Sundays - Thursdays.

  • The Depot will work with you to create the perfect menu and bar offerings and meet your special event needs. Venue pricing begins at $1,000. Menu offerings begin at $75 per person and bar packages begin at $32 per person. Tax, service charge and gratuity apply. Please contact our special events manager to begin planning your event with The Depot.

  • We would love to schedule a tour of the venue. Please feel free to connect with us to schedule a day and time. Please note that we are unable to tour during service hours.

  • Most guests find that they do not need an event planner. Our highly skilled team will help curate your event from start to finish. If you wish to customize the event space, find additional vendors or bring in event rentals, we are happy to refer you to a reputable event planner and vendors.

  • We do not offer custom tastings, but we invite you to come and dine with us at The Depot to get to know our menu. We would be happy to schedule a reservation for you.
